Who is Georgia Brown?

Georgia Brown is a very friendly five year old Yorkshire Terrier. She was born on January 9, 2007. She lives in Northern Virginia but travels all over the United States of America. So far she has been to Colorado, California, Washington DC, Maryland and Virginia.

What does Georgia like to do?

Georgia loves people! She loves to give puppy dog kisses! She also loves riding around in her wagon to visit people! One of her favorite things to do is listen to kids read her stories. Oh and she just loves it when people sing her lullabyes as she rests! Sometimes she gets in the mood to play dress up.

How can I meet Georgia Brown?

Georgia visits children at libraries, she loves when kids read to her. She visits kids in shelters who don't have pets of there own but love spending time with her. She also visits lots of Grandmothers and Grandfathers at nursing homes. She loves laying on their laps and while they pet her to sleep. Georgia's Closet

I finally found the cord to upload my digital pics to the computer!!! Thank goodness...this will make this whole blogging thing much more interesting. So I took some pics of Georgia's room to share with you guys...its a little work in progress. But it's hers...I am making a canopy for her crate that will soon be moving in here. This is just a hallway walkin we converted for her. She has a little bed from target and some upside down purple bins and pillows to climb on. I got the wall art from Homegoods and the stickers from Ikea.

The Honky Tonk

I recently had a business trip in Nashville, Tenessee. I stayed at the Loews Vanderbilt and could kick myself for not bringing my pooch, Georgia! I did not want to worry about her on evenings that I had dinner commitments or receptions on. But the hotel was wonderful and very pet friendly and about day 3 I definitely missed her company.

The Loews hotels have a special dine in menu dedicated to pets. Cats and dogs have meal options available. The mini bar also has treats for your furry friends!

After I got my traditional business trip shopping out of the way at the Green Hills Mall. I needed to find a shop to grab a souveneir for Georgia. This month's copy of Nashville Magazine was dedicated to pets. So I parused the mag in the gift shop and jotted down the address to www.petclawset.com Ya'll what a wonderful boutique! I got her a Shirley Temple Sailor dress and it only cost $15 on sale! It is adorable! I will post a pic shortly! It is a pretty new shop with wonderful treasures around every corner. I bought her a tank that said, " Princessa" for her latina flair!

So when in Nashville don't miss out on the Pet Clawset!!!

~ What's New With You Know Who ~

Georgia is about 3.9 lbs now! She is about 80% potty trained and has the "sit", "no" and "Gimme Kisses" commands down. Every day when I come home she does her happy dance! And I love it!

I think Mario, her breeder, should've named her HOUDINI because she figures out a way to escape from her room all the time! We turned our hallway walk in closet into a playroom for her to stay in while we are away at work. Mostly because we have found a couple cords she was chewing. There is a baby gate in the doorway. Sometimes she rams into it and slips through! She started to jump out of her room so we put up poster board above the gate. SHE STILL FINDS A WAY! Some days I come home and she is curled up on the couch! As if to say she is too old to be cooped up in her room!

Every weekend we head to Dumfries, VA to visit my family. Georgia's best friend Charlie, a Lab, are inseperable. My neice does not even ask when I am coming over anymore. She just says," Tee Tee, where is Georgia?" My nephew learned to say Georgia before my name!

Georgia is a big personality in a little bitty package. She has an attitude! My boyfriend and I were having a conversation that was getting louder and louder (joking around) and she chased him out of the room barking! We laughed! She is so darn cute you can't get mad at her....not even when she leaves her random tootsie rolls around...if you know what I mean! I said 80% potty trained! haha!

I had to take back that Sony Camera because it was not performing the automatic feature. I am looking into getting another digital camera soon! I will post new pics of her room etc ASAP!

A Bone To Pick

Georgia + Chicken Wings + Waste Basket + Determination = Trouble!!!

My boyfriend was enjoying some Chicken Wings watching TV and he threw the bones in a little waste basket. Probably the size of the one in your office or at your desk. Just a little waste basket. Georgia sniffs around all sides of the waste basket and had the aha moment ~ They are in the trash!

I am sitting on the couch checkin her out and give my boyfriend a clue to watch her...she backs up gets a running start and rams the trash can over, runs around and looks like Fred Flinstone with this giant chicken leg running around. Of course I run after her and take it from her. But laughing the whole time!

Getting LOST

Thursday evenings are all about LOST on ABC. Just curl up in bed in front of the TV and get LOST! Which was so inviting this week because I have the world's worst cold! Georgia has new stairs that lead up to the top of the bed. She used to jump up and down on pillows but its dangerous for her. So we invested in some stairs. So during the first commercial break...I glance over and see her running up the stairs with he goldfish toy. She has piled all her little toys into her bed. Hahaha!

Is this what she does all day? Move them from pile to pile? I wonder if I do get another dog if she will be possessive with her toys and not share. Because after I noticed her handy work. I started to take toys out one at a time and watch her put them back in her bed. That was our commercial break fun!
